Health & Safety

When traveling to Africa for a hunting safari, being informed and well-prepared ensures a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience. Below is important health and safety information to help you plan your trip with confidence.

General Health Precautions

Vaccinations:

South Africa: No mandatory vaccinations for entry from most countries. However, it’s advisable to be up to date on routine vaccines (tetanus, hepatitis A & B).

Zimbabwe: Similar recommendations apply. Some regions of Zimbabwe may recommend yellow fever vaccination if you’re arriving from a yellow fever area. Check with your local travel clinic.

Malaria:

South Africa (Northern Cape): The Northern Cape is a low-risk malaria area — malaria precautions are generally not necessary.

Zimbabwe: Some regions, depending on where you hunt, may be malaria risk areas. Consult your doctor about preventative medication if you’re traveling to higher-risk zones.

Water and Food Safety:

Drink only bottled or filtered water where advised.

Our camps provide clean, safe drinking water and high-quality, hygienic meals.

Listen to your guides and camp staff at all times.

Do not wander alone after dark.

Only load your rifle when instructed by your guide.

Keep muzzles pointed in a safe direction at all times.
